Paul Robert Klein

Paul Robert Klein went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 8, 2011. He was born on March 5, 1922 in his Grandma Tanis' house. He was a descendant of a long line of dairy farmers, and grew up working on the family farm where he learned the value and discipline of hard work. As a teenager, he got a job at Weyerhaeuser working side by side with grown men. This unwavering commitment to hard work and family remained with him for the rest of his days and served as a shining example to all who knew him., When he was seventeen years old he met the love of his life, Billie Geraldine Woolen, who had recently moved to the Arlington area. After a three year courtship, they married on March 5, 1942. They rented a farm in Snohomish and Paul's father, Andrew, co-signed a loan so they could buy 20 cows, which they milked by hand. Every month Paul prided himself on driving to the bank to make his payment on time. Paul and Billie worked hard and saved their money and in a few years they were able to buy their own farm. In 1969, they built the house they had always dreamed of., In 1984, Paul retired from farming. They bought a motor home and traveled the country, visiting family and making new friends along the way. They visited places like Palm Springs, The Grand Ole Opry, New Orleans, Washington DC, Laughlin, Nimpo Lake and Billie's home state of Kansas. They also took trips to Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico., Paul was a unique individual. He had a playful sense of humor and loved telling stories about the antics of his youth. He was a true extrovert and loved talking to people of all walks and ages. He appreciated life's small pleasures, such as a beautiful mountain view enjoyed from his home, fishing, camping, a well-tended vegetable garden, lovely fragrant flowers, lots of laughter, and playing pool in his rec-room., His greatest joy was spending time with his family who love him dearly. He will be sorely missed by all of them, Billie, his wife of 68 years; his four children: Judy (Tom) Warren, Carol (Bud) Davis, Mark (Debbie) Klein and Dale (Tiffany) Klein; grandchildren, Stacey (Randy) Ayers, Christopher Warren, Tamara (Joe) Eadie, Mark (Jennifer) Miller, Matthew (Rachel) Klein, Aaron (Karla) Klein, Nicholas (Crystal) Klein, Paul Travis Klein, and Billiemarie Klein; 12 great-grandchildren; his brothers Ken (Kaye), Gerald (Loleta), and Don (Laurinda) Klein; best friends Elmer and Betty Klein and Corky and Leola Klein; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews., He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Alice Klein; his brother, John Klein; and sister, Dorothy Kluin. We know he is with them now in Heaven., The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all those friends and family that have shown their love and support, and to Dena and the Hospice staff for their compassion and assistance., Viewing will be at Weller Funeral Home in Arlington February 11 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. There will be a private service, and internment at the Arlington Cemetery.
